Parking at Centenary UMC

The Centenary UMC building has been a fixture in downtown Pentwater since the 19th century, and as the town has grown around the building, there remains only street parking available. Centenary is located on the corner of Hancock St and 1st St, and it is appropriate to drop off persons either at the main entrance steps on Hancock St, or at the side door on 1st St, which is also the entrance for the elevator.

Finding Home Together

This summer we celebrate holy hygge (Pronounced hugh-gah.), an old Danish word that refers to the ways we find home together through simplicity and presence. And what better work is there for the people of Pentwater! Scripture tells the story of trying to find our way home until we discover God makes his home with us. We’ll look at themes like well-being, hospitality, rest, and saying good-bye. Join us as we explore different ways we become home for others. All are welcome to join us on the Village Green Sundays at 9:30. Bring a chair and maybe some coffee. We provide the shade.

Come to the Village Green and worship with us outdoors during the summer in the heart of beautiful downtown Pentwater! Worship on the Green services will begin June 29 - August 31, 2025. Bring chairs or a blanket, the dress is casual, pets are welcome.
In the event of inclement weather, services will be held in the Sanctuary.

Parking for Summer Worship on the Green

The Village Green is located on the west side of Hancock St between 2nd and 3rd Streets, about 2 blocks south of the church building.
Street parking is available around the Green. Closer parking is on 2nd St.
